Many times, the desire to reach the lost, the broken, and the sick leaves us overlooking the seemingly healthy “good girls” who are doing what they should be doing and have all the right answers.

Watch out for the good girl. She has struggles, doubts, and insane insecurities that the enemy weaponizes against her, despite her great family and faith in Jesus.

There is great power in a girl who has chosen Jesus from the time she was little. There is also great danger.

She can’t really wrestle with who she was “before” she met Jesus because, with a childlike faith, she chose to follow Him at an early age. There wasn’t much of a “before” to reconcile.

She finds it harder to admit when doubts creep in and even harder when she has made a mistake. She should know better, and she knows it. She will be pounded by the question, “Why do I fail so much?”

There are expectations placed on her as a leader when she doesn’t feel much like one. She is called on for many things and usually has the ability to answer the call. She is praised for her faith and knowledge, but rarely questioned about what hurts or what struggles she faces.

She would have a hard time admitting them anyway.

Watch out for the “good Christian girl.” She can light the world on fire or burn out in the ashes.
