How was BRAVE Started

Spending time alone with God allows Him to place things on your heart.  Amber Johns,a former female athlete and a coach of female athletes joined Fellowship of Christian Athletes in 2018 in NY.  There was a continued need to minister directly to females in general and have conversations that mattered to them.  After scribbles on notebooks and listening to young girls tell their story.  BRAVE began to take form.  The acronym is based how God see his female creation.  They are Bold Redeemed Anointed Victorious and Eternal .

What is the Great Rescue

BRAVE’s core theme is the rescue mission. In real life we are horrified when a girl is abducted and life is stolen from her. We need to be as horrified by the spiritual abduction taking place as the enemy seeks to destroy our girls. By creating community, content and calling out the lies of the enemy we go on mission. We go to rescue them from the enemy bound by truth and the word of God. It’s time to fight.

Amber hosts quarterly zoom meetings to ignite the next group of rescuers to get out on mission. Please email ajohns@fca.org for the private zoom link.

How do I utilize BRAVE: The great rescue

You can start a group to go on mission or pour into one girl at a time. The materials are here to encourage you, give you resources and things to talk about in an effort to grow faith that is deeply rooted in truth and Jesus. Our YouTube playlist is organized by topic and a great starting point for conversation.
