It’s still trafficking

Her eyes were beautiful and her smile made for the camera as my social media alerted me to the girls who accomplished the new world record of sleeping with over 1000 men in 12 hours.

I felt my heart tighten, then I felt anger, then grief.  I had so many questions and I just couldn’t wrap my head around the men, friends and family and media circus that surrounded this event.

It doesn’t take much of a google search to find out what I am talking about, I just can’t give it platform here.

She made a lot of money. She is very famous.  She is very pretty.  She is very broken.

January is Human Trafficking Awareness month so the irony was not lost on me.  Yes, she allegedly participated willingly, she made herself and others a lot of money. It’s the digital prostitution ring and yes over 1000 men voluntarily participated.   It’s still trafficking

We can get into the nuances of what constitutes being trafficked, but I am not much for semantics.  How did we get here? That is for another time.

We are here.

  • This morning we told millions of followers that girls can be bought 1000 times over, but the money makes it worth it.  Today, we were told Jesus created us for nothing more than money, sex and power.

I can’t.

We have called evil, good. The comment sections were filled with people who were horrified, but yet over a thousand men showed up.  The sites bring in a lot of money.  Girls no longer need a trafficker, they are doing it themselves.  They are calling it freedom from the 9-5 and the shackles of womanhood. They are devouring the lie and it’s scary.

It’s time to rise up, have courage and act. It’s time to stop the spiritual abduction of our girls. You ready?

Sincerely, Amber J
